A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Wednesday Workbench 05 May

 


I've been working slowly and steadily on the skips and containers. The skips are finished; the containers just need to be varnished.

I didn't take a trip into central London yesterday, mostly because I had a very late night on Monday. I should be going tomorrow instead.


My copy of ADLG V4 arrived in the post yesterday:


I haven't had a chance to go through it properly yet to pick out the changes from V3. I will need to do that before the next podcast recording.

    That puts a whole different angle on 'skip-ping' your work!

    @ Ray - they're a good set of rules, but very much aimed at tournament players. The big advantage is that armies are relatively small (20-30 bases) and you can play a game in about 2 hours, making it ideal for a club night. :)

    @ Herkybird - *groan*. As for ADLG, I've been playing the V3 rules for about 6 years and like them. :)
