About Me

A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

AHPC X Day 40 - Wednesday Workbench 29 January

With five locations successfully visited on Challenge Island, my next stop is Snowlord's Peak. The task for that is individually set by Curt to annoy the crap out of stretch the Challengers.

My task (link) is to produce a vignette to explain how the Challenge got as crazy as it currently is where it is today.

As you can see from the photo above, I have started work on this. It should take me a couple of days to get the painting done, another day to assemble the pieces on the base and add sand etc, then another day to do the water effects. I've already got the "journal extract" firmly lodged in my brain - it's a good'un!

  1. You keep a tidy wargames painting table, no half painted figures peering from the edge, no randomly discarded brushes and tools?, or books with pictures of your next painting project?

Man, I can tell you are a girl!!!

  4. @ Herkybird - ahhh, but you can only see what's on the painting area. If the photo was taken from further back you'd see all the clutter. Admittedly no part-painted projects as I only normally work on one thing at a time :)

@ Ross - cheers! It will be a few more days - cold has interrupted painting :(

@ Michael A - the story will be exquisitely good fun :)

@ Dave Stone - you might get one more WIP post before it's done :)
