A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

AHPC X Day 47 - Wednesday Workbench 05 February

Also Day 12 of this flippin' 'orrible cold. Grrrrr!

I actually thought my cold was clearing up last Wednesday, but it took a turn for the worse. Today was the first day that I felt able to hit the brushes and I have managed to finish (apart from a thin black-lining wash) painting the figures for my Snowlord's Peak challenge vignette:


Tomorrow I'll be gloss varnishing them and sorting out where they will go on the diorama base. Once they are fixed in place, I can then start work on the island base.

    Take it easy Tamsin, in the hospital I work at, we are hearing of a lot of people with non resolving 'colds'. I hope yours clears up pronto!

    Tamsin, if it has been this long, it is not a cold. It may be virus based, but be careful if you are worse or even 'just the same' in a couple more days.

    @ Herkybird - cheers! It seems to be much improved now, so hopefully it'll be gone in a day or two :)

    @ pancerni - to be honest, I suspect it is actually two or three different colds that have overlapped. I've always been susceptible to colds; for some reason though, I laugh off 'flu within a day or two. Go figure! :)
