About Me

A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Wednesday Workbench 28 April

An empty workbench? Well, that's only because I haven't actually got anything being crafted or painted right now. I decided to take yesterday and today off to catch up on reading. However, this evening I did make a start on something:

In case you need some help figuring out what I will be doing next, I have drawn the outlines for some hills on various thicknesses (25mm, 50mm and 75mm) of XPS foam. Tomorrow I will be cutting those shapes out and starting to carve them.

Some of these will be "desert" hills, others will be grassy.

  1. Very tidy desk Tamsin ! LOL, off to a great start with your hills, look forward to seeing how these develop

  2. Good to see an empty desk, better to see a cluttered one!

  3. @ Dave - it was only tidy for a couple of hours! :)

@ Herkybird - I try to avoid too much clutter on my paint table! :)
