A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Paint Table Sunday 04 October

I have started work on the 15mm Imperial Romans. On Thursday I managed to get all of the figures primed:

I started painting the first batch yesterday, and finished them today:

The shield designs were hand-painted:

That gives me enough legionaries for "Infamy, Infamy!" but I will need the same again to make an army for Art de la Guerre.

This week I will be working on the auxiliaries and engineers below, in two batches:

  1. That is a mighty output Tamsin, for the last four days, especially with all those hand painted shields

  2. Cool Romans Tamsin, the transfers really set off the shields. I was looking at trying Art de la Guerre, as the smaller units make it very affordable.

  3. They are excellent, how did you get them finished so quickly? do you have a horde of little minions helping?

  4. @ Dave Stone - thanks! :)

@ Greg - cheers! But the shields are hand-painted, not transfers! ADLG is a good set of rules and the armies are much easier to transport than games like FoG. :)

@ Herkybird - thanks! No minions, just me. The speed of painting was helped by the fact that they are uniformed! :)
