My second submission is up now: link
I was meant to be heading down to Sussex today for Christmas, but I've been struck down with a D&V bug. Brilliant timing, thanks whoever passed it on to me. As a result, I will be staying in London on my lonesome, but it does mean that I will be able to do some painting. I got these chaps primed this morning, then added basing gunk:
They will be for my "Millsy's Millpond" entry.
And I have made a start on these chaps:
I hope to get these and two regiments of converged grenadiers finished before the 30th, so that they will be available for a big game at the club.

- A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Sorry to hear you will be spending the holidays on your own Tamsin, but wish you as Merry of a Christmas as you can have.
ReplyDeleteGreat second submission, and lots more goodies ready in the wings as well
Well done on protecting yourself and the population by staying out of circulation till you are bug free. Sorry you will have to be by yourself this Christmas, but happy painting!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, I'm still not sure on my plan to get around the Island after my next step.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're sick, hope you have a fab festive season anyway.
So sorry to hear that you have been laid low Tamsin.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, we are recovering from heavy colds ourselves and hope to at least look germ free by tomorrow :-)
ReplyDeleteWe know a couple of people who have been hit by the various lurgy's going around and will be out of circulation for Christmas and one of the toddlers in the family was diagnosed with tonsillitis yesterday.
My local shops are full of handwashes and hankies - yet you never see these things used in public! what's that about!
Have a good painting session anyway :-)
Hope you're soon feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWell done with those minis :o)
Cheers
Matt

@ Paul SS - thanks! I'm not 100% certain of my plan either - I foresee lots of trips in Lady Sarah's Balloon :)
@ Michael A - cheers! :)
@ Norm - thanks! It's not the first time I've been ill at Christmas and had to spend it on my own, so I know the routine :)
@ Matt - cheers! :)
Hi Tamsin,
ReplyDeletePlease accept my most sincere wishes for you having a Merry Christmas despite your illness. Get well soon and remember that it is not when you are with loved ones but the fact that you are with them at some point that counts.
Jerry
Hope you recover soon Tamsin. Have a great Christmas break
