First of all, Peter B asked for a pic of them with the grenadiers I painted a couple of weeks ago:
Now, without the grenadiers:
Voronejskiy Regiment:
Viatskiy Regiment:
And getting in a little bit closer on the command stands:
Lastly, a pic of my SYW Russian collection to date:
That's 6 regiments of cavalry (2 cuirassiers, 1 dragoon, 1 horse grenadier, 2 hussars); 12 regiments of foot (8 musketeers, 4 grenadiers); 2 artillery pieces and 3 commanders. In all, about three quarters of what it will be when I finish painting the figures I currently have in the queue.
great job with these

I'm always tardy! Fantastic Tamsin, what a great army! I'd love to paint SYW Russians one day and this is good inspiration. We had SYW going locally for a bit with Maurice but it went cold.
ReplyDeleteA really nice unit. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLook great Tamsin. Time for me to get a copy of King of the Battlefield methinks! Greatly inspiring. Thankyou

ReplyDeleteLooking good Tamsin and the figures too. Very effective en mass. I need to get back on my 15mm AWI French, but not just yet.
ReplyDelete@ Monty - thank you! I've been enjoying painting this army up and these four regiments have actually gone up a notch compared to my original batch which people loved :)
ReplyDelete@ Stefan - cheers! :)
@ Jon - thanks! I don't know where King of the Battlefield is available from, but will check for you :)
@ Dannoc - cheers! Only another eight regiments of foot, two/three cuirassiers, a horde of hussars, a steppe of Cossacks, some guns and some commanders to go before I call this army complete :)
