Wahey! This blog has made it to 6 months of age! It will also shortly hit 25,000 page views so it is definitely occasion to hold a Prize Draw for my loyal followers. Heck, even my disloyal ones can enter.
So, what's up for grabs:
Prize 1: Flames of War "Panzerkanonen" pack
Prize 2: Flames of War "Panzergrenadier Headquarters" pack
I also have stretch goals which could result in more prizes. I will follow the trend of late and paint some figures for the (un)lucky winner.
If I hit 200 followers before the close of the prize draw, I will paint up to 50 points of figures. "50 points?" you ask, "What on earth does that mean?". Simples - I'm using the points scheme from Curt's "Analogue Painting Challenge". For every additional 50 followers there will be another draw for 50 points. I'll even buy the figures to make things easier for me and you. Just as a quick note, these will be painted to a decent tabletop standard using my own techniques and style - don't expect masterpieces!
Rules for Prize Draw
1. You must be a public follower of this blog
2. Post a comment below to say which prize(s) you want to be entered for
3. If you post a link back from your blog to this post, you will get an additional entry in the draw(s)
4. Entries close at 1930 GMT on Sunday 8 July 2012
I'd like to thank Paul of Paul's Bods for a great start to my Sunday - his post this morning has a link to some reviews on Amazon which are flippin' hilarious - go over, follow the link and have a good laugh.
About Me
- TamsinP
- London, United Kingdom, United Kingdom
- A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Happy First Half Birthday Wargaming Girl!!! That is a fantastic offer you have made there Tamsin. If I didn't live on the oppisite side of the world I would be in for sure. You have a great blog running here, long may it continue.
ReplyDeleteHappy half birthday Tamsin, congrats on the pageviews.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on this draw, thanks, I've enough to be painting!
Well, who am I to resist a chance at a prize? Mark me down for painted figures, please.
ReplyDeleteHappy half birthday!!!! Prize 1 draw pretty please.
ReplyDeletePut me in for the Panzerkanonen please
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, really enjoy following your blog. Dedication to painting amazes me lol.
ReplyDeleteFantastic prizes on offer as well, but will pass and give someone else a chance.
Great Blog
Here's to next year and 50,000!
happy half-birthday. Did you know you were becoming quite famous on the other side of the pond. Many of my French friends told me to say Hi!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, if you reach 200 followers, count me in for the painting, I have things to paint ;)
Congrats on the milestone! I don't play FoW so would prefer those great prizes go to other worthy candidates who will appreciate them better :-)
ReplyDeleteFlames of War miniatures? You! Wow...However I'll choose your painting :-)
ReplyDeleteMarzio.
Not bad at all..congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the plug.
Some of the reviews are hilarious..like the spoof one from the chief constable of the MET and the one starting;
Picture the scene: a badly sunburnt, blistered and shaved Boris Johnson carries two red Space Hoppers accross the surface of Mars
I only got to page ten before having to have a break due to laughing so much.
Cheers
paul
thanks all! :)
ReplyDelete@ Rodger - I don't mind sending them overseas, so enter if you want
@ Phyllion - but, but - if I make it to 200 followers, some of your planned painting could be done for you!
@ Lentulus, Beccas and brownk29 - entries duly noted
@ Jackster - are you sure you don't want to be entered?
@ Seb - Famous or infamous? "Hi!" back to my French fans
@ Paul of the Man Cave - do you want to be entered in the painting prize draw though?
@ fogsoldiers - *whisper* I know, but when I re-upped my subscription to Wargames Illustrated I got them free and thought that they'd make good prizes - our little secret, don't let on to the others! *wink*
@ Paul's Bods - you got much further through those reviews then I did.
I´m saving them up. I´m going to read one or two sides a day..more if I´m feeling a bit peed off :-D.
DeleteCongrats on all three milestones (I am sure you will hit 200 very very soon. I too don't play Flames of War but I love the hanomag's and want to know if I can paint them well so I throw my hat in for the PzGren HQ company. If I do a decent job on them then I will offer them up on my blogs first full birthday come 8th of September.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great giveaway as well
Ian
Happy Half-Birthday Tasmin! Awesome prizes, but I won one of the prizes from your last prize draw and therefore I'm going to pass on this draw.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the blogs 6 month old birthday! It doesn't look a day older!
ReplyDeleteNot a Flames of War player so I'll let some lucky other blogger have a chance of winning those but count me in for the painting prize when (not if) you get to the 200 followers (which surely won't be long)!
Wow, only six months. You're doing great! Please put me down for the Panzergrenadiers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your half-birthday! (blogday?)
ReplyDeleteIf I win, I would like any of the FoW sets, doesn't matter which. I do not play Flames of War, but I have been curious about their figures and would like to try my hand at painting some. What better way than to win some free
:-)
I will pimp you later at my own blog tonight!
And pimped it: http://figurfanatikern.blogspot.se/2012/07/sunday-update.html
DeleteWow, shiny panzerkanonen! I will also put a link on my own blog! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your continued success! I would love to be entered to win the Panzergrenadier Headquarters pack.
ReplyDeleteI'd like the panzerkannon personally!
ReplyDeleteHappy Half-Birthday! I'm not really interested in WW2, but I'm not about to turn down a chance to get the lead mountain painted for free, if you get there :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your half-year! You've done great numbers in such a short time and this is quite a nice give-away.
ReplyDeleteThe cost of shipping to me would be high, but I do like the Panerkanonen pack. Best of luck on getting to 200.
As someone who started a blog at similar time to you. I am very impressed at your meteoric rise in the blogosphere. I guess that's what happens when you post once a day on interesting painted models. It is something to aspire to.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in to win that Panzerkanone.
Happy 6 months blog birthday Tamsin!! It would be rude not to enter, I don't mind which prize I win (fingers crossed!!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching the 6month milestone. Its a great blog and always enjoyable to read. Count me in on the prize draw. I'm into FOW so I'm sure I can make good use of the mini's if I win them (no preference, either set will do).
ReplyDeleteVery many congratulations Tamsin a phenomenal effort! You are going from strength to strength.

ReplyDeleteWell Happy half birthday, I've gone public too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should try some of this to up the followers on my blog.
Anyway the FOW HQ would be nice if I was lucky.
Still can't get over how much you've painted!!
Am I loyal or disloyal? Officially been following for a couple of weeks, unofficially for a few months, so which am I? Any way Prize 1 looks good.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the half-year anniversary.

Happy Half-Birthday Tamsin!! That's a terrific achievement - don't stop now! I really just wanted to say how much I like your blog and to encourage you to keep going - don't worry about me entering the prize-draw: I've already got a mountain of figures to paint:) All the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks all - my Blog has a hangover from all the celebrations and through bleary eyes this morning spotted that the 200 followers had been breached!
ReplyDeleteI'd better start collating all the entries so far (and checking to see who gets bonus entries for having plugged the prize draw on their own blogs) - time for spreadsheet mania!
Happy birthday and congratulations reaching the 200 mark!
ReplyDeleteI'm also in for the "Panzerkanonen" pack.
Cheers,
Thomas
I keep being asked to join FOW in my local club, so I guess if I win then that could happen.

Happy 6 months! Should my name come up, please find a young person at your FLGS or club with a desire to play but no cash and give them whichever pack will allow them to put something on the table.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tamsin.
