I'm feeling a bit more human today, but still a way off being back to normal. Fortunately most of the cold symptoms seem to have cleared up, leaving me with just the aches & pains, tiredness and difficulty concentrating for more than about 30 minutes at a time.
Luckily I only had a couple of steps to do on the 6mm ACW cavalry, which I managed to get done. I've just finished adding the basing texture - that should dry overnight, allowing me to drybrush and flock them fairly early tomorrow.
I also carried on with prepping and assembling the hover vehicles from GZG; the APCs and flatbed today. That just leaves the MAWPs, hover drones and power armour troops to prep and assemble.
Wombat APCs and flatbed:
The pintel mounting points on the cannon turrets were slightly miscast, so I had to fill them in with some greenstuff after gluing the pintel guns in place.
All the vehicles so far:
Once the ACW are finished tomorrow, I'll be getting out the airbrush and spray booth to have a play and get a feel for using the airbrush. It will also be a good way to check out using different wire meshes for spraying camo patterns.
Then on Sunday I will use it to prime and basecoat the vehicles. My plan is to get as much as possible done on them like that before witching to normal brushes for the detailing

I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

ReplyDeleteGood work on the Cavalry, I knew it as well. "Witching to normal brushes", you use sorcery to paint so fast and well ;-)
