A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

WIP - More SYW Russian Infantry Day 1

Well, the junk's gone and the first tranche of new furniture has been ordered. As it won't be arriving until tomorrow and it will take a couple of days to assemble I decided to make a start on the next four regiments of SYW Russian musketeers.

Yes, I've gone with the crazy option of painting all four in one go. I mean, I am on leave from work, so I can handle it. I've managed to make a very decent start on them:

I don't have a definite time slot yet for the furniture delivery tomorrow, so I might have to stay home all day which will be a good opportunity to really crack on with them. I reckon I should get very close to finishing them tomorrow, although the fiddly details might work against that.

  1. Yes that is a lot of figures to paint in one go but I expect to see them painted and based and the pics on your blog before I get home from work tomorrow at 2 p.m. 😁

  2. Four regiments at one time is a bit crazy in my mind but I know many who are successful in such ventures. You are off to good start and we are likely to see them on the parade ground in no time at all.

  3. Lovely job. Nothing like completing a big batch in one go. Hope the furniture arrives safely tomorrow. Will have my fingers crossed for you!
