Well, I've had a fairly busy day adjudicating submissions to the Challenge.
I've also been busy this evening and last, working on the Righteous Army. I've got a few more steps to do, but it's looking very good for them being finished well before my Saturday submission deadline. Hopefully with enough time to spare for me to paint up those Aztecs.
So, a couple of piccies of the WIP:

- A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

They are looking good and not too far away from finished.
ReplyDeleteLovely work so far nurse Ratchett........
ReplyDeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteHi Tamsin,
ReplyDeleteThese look terrific and should be lots of fun with which to play. I have an offbeat question that I would like to pose. You had a blog reference to "other" Sarmation cavalry and did show some Sarmation cataphracts and clibinarii. Have you ever fought these with Dacian infantry against the Romans? In the same vein do you plan to fight your Korean army against the invaders from China, japan and Mongolia?
Have a wonderful winter of painting!
Jerry
Aztecs very nice! Its something I have never thought about painting! They certainly look the part.
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Forgot to reply earlier in the week :(
ReplyDelete@ David - it was still a couple of days work to finish them :)
@ Fran - cheers! But I'm the flight attendant, not the nurse! ;)
@ Gordon - thanks! :)
@ Jerry - cheers! :)
The Sarmatian "other cavalry" refers to their description in the Field of Glory army lists. It refers to shooty medium cavalry as opposed to the typical lancers. I have considered getting a Dacian army to use alongside them.
The Koreans will eventually get used for battles against Chinese, Japanese and nomads and I (almost) have enough to game the potential civil war which was brewing when the Japanese invaded.
@ Russ - thanks! Aztecs are quite colourful with all those feathered suits and painted shields - I think that's what attracted me to the idea of doing them :)
