About Me

A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

AHPC X Day 54 - Wednesday Workbench 12 February

In my post yesterday I said that my next project was a biggie - 51 fantasy barbarians! I've finished the flesh on the two female figures and have got most of the way with the 49 chaps - just a wash and final highlight to go. I've possibly gone a little bit OTT on the flesh tones, but with so much on display I think it's justified. The rest of the painting will be much easier - base, wash, highlight. I should have them finished this weekend.

  5. @ Ian - there are 22 mounted chaps to do as well! :)

    @ Michael A - I wasn't! :)

@ Lasgunpacker - cheers! They're from Battlezone Miniatures - I believe (but could well be wrong) they are the old Grenadier range from the 80s, sculpted by Mark Copplestone :)

@ Peter Brian - Not a machine, just a human with plenty of time for painting :)

  6. Great work Tamsin on a large number of models, and as you say with that much skin on show the extra work really pays off
