About Me

A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

(Not Quite) Finished: 28mm WW2 Aussie Jungle Fighters #7

Did I say these would be finished and posted on Thursday? Oh well, I'm sure you're not going to be too upset to see them posted two days early.

This is the 7th batch posted and will be the last for a while. I think we all need a break from greens and khakis!

Bren Guns

Rifles

Tommy Guns

Junior Leaders (with Tommy Guns)

The one on the left is Foundry

All the figures are Chindits from The Assault Group, part from the junior leader indicated who is a Chindit from Wargames Foundry.

This was delivered yesterday:

I'll give it a try tomorrow to see if it's better for the 10mm static grass.

Er, had to do a "double take" on the last couple of photos

  3. One can never have too many Bren guns!!! I think, unlike my crusader mini ones, the magazines will not break off in action!!!

  7. More outstanding work, Tamsin. What does the final unit roster look like? And a tank and artillery should be somewhere in the pipeline....

@ Geordie - thanks! I see what you mean about the static grass applicator looking a bit like a bottle of vino :)

@ Herkybird - cheers! Well, these are the 6th and 7th for these chaps, so I probably have enough now :)

    @ Simon Q - thanks! I remember the Commando comics :)

@ Dannoc - cheers! What's coming next? Hmm, jungle terrain and stuff for Gaslands. then maybe some more SYW Russians :)

    @ Michael A - thanks! :)

@ Jerry - cheers! At the moment, 70 jungle fighters, 10 commandos and 11 Papuans. I will be getting a tanks or two...well, three if I go for one of each type used (M3 Stuart, M3 Grant, Matilda II), but the artillery may not appear as it is off-table for Chain of Command :)

    @ Thomas Foolery - thanks! :)
