A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Paint Table Saturday 03 April

Hah! I have once again remembered to do a "Paint Table Saturday" post on a Saturday. Now, don't fret yourselves - I'm sure my normal slipshod approach will return in due course.

As mentioned yesterday, I am currently working on the first batch of 12 US Paras.

I'm much happier with the lighter shade on the uniforms:

I should be able to get the remaining items painted tomorrow, or Monday at the very latest. I'll then varnish them (and the test figures) before getting the next batch out for painting.

  1. Like both shades you've shown Tamsin, but can see the second batch being more recognisable

  3. I agree, that lighter shade is more worn in and looks great!

I suffer with the same affliction, forgetting that small figures make colours seem darker!!!

  4. @ Dave - thanks! The "new" scheme is certainly more recognisable as M1942 in OD#3. :)

    @ Ray - cheers! :)

@ Herkybird - It's not that it looks more worn in, it just looks more like the correct shade for OD#3! :)
