About Me

A mythical beast - a female wargamer! I got back into wargaming in the summer of 2011 after a very, very long break and haven't looked back since. I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Paint Table Saturday 21 August

My paint table is rather full, as you can see from the photo above. Progress on these hasn't been as fast as I'd hoped, mainly because the "fix" on the herbs took a long time to fully dry for some reason. I suspect that might be down to the ambient temperature now being lower than when I was doing the earlier pieces.

Today I added the trees and the cocktail stick tips to the bases. Tomorrow I should get the plastic plants and brush added. I think they should be finished on Tuesday.

  1. Nice mix of trees Tamsin, the amount of damp in the air can really screw up drying times !

  2. I agree about noticing the temperature is less recently! 'Winter is Coming' definitely! Time to hibernate again it is!

  3. What game or period is all this terrain for? It looks amazing.

  4. @ Dave - thanks! Yup, the damp in the air and the lower temperatures is probably the culprit. :)

@ Herkybird - at least I haven't felt the need to switch back to long trousers or switch from my summer duvet yet! :)

@ Andrew - cheers! They're mainly intended for Chain of Command, but will see use for other gaming systems - pulp, Strontium Dog, Judge Dredd... :)
