Finished: 15mm Ming Chinese "Blue Hat" and "Green Hat" Horse Archers

I seem to be keeping to my New Year's Resolution quite well so far - I've done something related to finishing figures every evening this week. Now to see if I can manage that for another 360 days...

This evening I've finished the basing on these horse archers, finally completing this batch which I started on in November.

Blue Hats

And with the original base:

Green Hats

Tomorrow will see me make a start on painting something else. I haven't decided what yet though - you'll just have to wait for my Sunday Workbench post to see what I've opted for.

  3. Looking great as always! I sympathize with the lack of decision about tomorrows target... if I'm honest I never really know what I'm going to paint until I'm sitting at the desk... even if I have a firm target in mind when I enter the room

  4. Very nice indeed! They say it takes two weeks to turn something into a habit so you're nearly halfway there already :-)

  6. Happy New Year, Tamsin! These look great as always. Question: is the hat color based on the Hat Wars fought by the cats on Red Dwarf?

  7. These are quite nice! I came across a U-Tube clip on the changing of the Guard at a palace gate in Seoul. They use reenactors in garb from what looks to be the time period you're trying to capture. Their band was really interesting as they played while the guard changed. Lots of reds and yellows in the soldiers uniforms, too.
